Today is another exciting day at Dean College. We are hosting another Discover Dean Day. This is where students who are looking at Dean as one of their school's for next semester or next fall can check out what we are really about. We tour our perspective students all around campus and end of the day with a fantastic lunch in our brand new dining center! If you are interested in Dean College, please sign up soon for our next Discover Dean Day! Click here if you want to sign up today! This is great way to see if you feel comfortable here and could picture yourself being a bulldog. As i get ready for today's big event, it makes me sad to think i was attending Discovering Dean Day just last year! Time definitely flies by fast, so enjoy your last year in high school or anything you are doing before you go off to college next fall! Well i am off to give a tour to perspective students just like you! Stay tune for another inside scoop!

Lights, Camera, Action!

For all you interested in our Communications program, check out the mid-term project my group and I just completed. It is behind the scenes of a movie trailer that we had to produce for our Video Practicum class. Dean College uses all of the latest equipment that is used in Hollywood and they allow us students to produce films with all of their high tech camera, lights and slates. Take a look at my Video because you can be a part of this if you attend Dean College!

Relaxation time

How many of you get overwhelmed with testing?

This past week we all survived mid-terms here at Dean College. Every student on campus is either stressing out over their grades or relieved to know that their exams are over!

I take six class here at Dean and sometimes they can be overwhelming.  Thank God all of my professors are kind because only two of them gave me a mid-term exam. After studying all week, I am finally done with stressing out, going to bed late and dreaming about psychology and mass media. All of the hard work I put into these exams paid off, because I received a grade that I was hoping for.  The difference between mid-terms in high school and college is that some professors do not go over the material that will be on the exam, therefore, you need to freshen up on everything you have learned until late october.  Lucky enough, one of my professors handed out a study guide to every student she had and gave us a good idea of what to look over. What I found useful was that reading over the chapters in our textbooks really helped me to remember what we went over in class.  Now that mid-terms are over, I will start to worry about my final exams coming up in just four weeks!  Wish me luck!  Until next time, work hard and get those applications finished so we can see you here on campus real soon!

Planes, TRAINS and automobiles

HI again!

Every college has something to make them unique. At Dean, they offer academic support to every student on campus! They also just built a new dining center and a new theater for us students to take advantage of. What I personally like best about Dean is that it has a train station less then five minutes away from campus. Having a lot of friends that go to school in the city, the station in Franklin is very helpful for me to leave school for the weekend and get to venture off to Boston. With only a two-way fair of $14, it is the perfect way to escape for just a few days. The commuter rail brings us students right into South Station and from there you can pick up either the Red line or the Silver line to get you where you need to be! If the Red or Silver line do not apply to your destination, Back Bay is a stop where you can pick up the Orange line. I take the Orange line every time I need to go home, it brings me right to my town on the North Shore. It is funny because as I write this, I am sitting on the train coming back from an amazing weekend in Boston that I spent with my friends who live out there. Until next time, when I will be back giving you more on the inside scoop.

Hello Everybody!

Hi! My name is Matt. I am 18 years old and I am freshman here at Dean College.  I'm a Communications major and I a Student Ambassador here on campus!  Throughout the semester I will be your inside scoop for all the interesting events taking place throughout campus.  Even though i have only been here for about two months, I have managed to get to know everyone and build a relationship with the faculty members. I decided to attend Dean College because my dream school is,  Emerson College. In order for me to get to where I want to be, I knew Dean was a great starting point! I am so happy to be here on campus and I am thrilled to be apart of the Associate Degree program they offer. What I loved about Dean when I first visited was the wonderful faculty members, they made me feel so welcomed. Coming from a big italian family, I was nervous I was not going to like the food they had on campus, but I could not be happier with the selections they offer us students in the brand new dining center! Dean is really a place to start fresh, and to become anyone you want to be.  It is a great place to be apart of and I hope I can let you in on the scoop if you attend here next fall!
